101 in 1001 – Thoughts & Where I’m At

101 in 1001 – Thoughts & Where I’m At

101in1001

I plan on writing an update very soon (like this weekend if I get around to it), but now that I’m a good seven months into this challenge, I wanted to review where I’m at with this.
So far, it’s been a lot harder than I thought it would be! I mean, I didn’t expect it to be easy, but it’s been much tougher than I had guessed. Part of it is my own fault- some of the things on my list are too vague or too general. Some are just too difficult to keep track of, like anything I’m supposed to do once a week. I feel like I’m not crossing enough off my list, but then I have to remind myself that I still have over 2 years to go!
I already know I’m not going to cross all 101 things off my list by the end of this challenge. But, I already plan to try again once I’ve finished this list. So I’m keeping a list of things that are/aren’t working for me to help me next time around.
These ones are just way too open-ended. It makes it really difficult to accomplish any of them. Tip, be way more specific than this:
27 Get all my photos printed off and in albums
67 Start maintaining a healthy diet
59 Take Rollo for a walk at least every other day (Just way too difficult to keep up on this and keep track of it)
94 Meet a celebrity (maybe just because I’m more likely to leave it to chance then to seek one out?)
Currently I’m really feeling like I’ve shot myself in the foot with several of my goals, because I feel like I didn’t think about where life would take me in the next couple years. These are goals that are by no means unfinishable (is that a word?) at this point, but they just got a whole lot more difficult:
3 Feel comfortable in a bathing suit
10 Lose at least 12lbs off my current weight
11 Wear heels once a month
46 Ride 10 different roller coasters
73 Take my Advanced Foundations exam
Why have these become so much more difficult? Because I’m expecting again! (I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get on any roller coasters this summer, but I suppose there’s always next year)
These ones are just really hard for me to keep track of, or have been a lot harder to actually get done:
1 Spend at least 15 minutes outside every day for a month
34 Keep my house clean (spotless) for a month (hahahaha!!)
53 Take at least one family photo each month (I’ve already failed at this one, and I shouldn’t have)
57 Spend an evening at home with Dave with no tv, computer or cell phones (10x) (I must have been nuts to try for 10 times. We are rarely even home together in the evenings!)
65 Give up chocolate for a month
92 Participate in a craft show
Pretty much everything else on my list is very doable – I just have to do it. Sometimes it’s tough to get motivated or to find the time for things, but I always feel so much better once I’ve accomplished one more thing.
Hopefully soon I will do a sort of “Part 2” to this post, and list some of the things I will definitely be including again in the future.
And soon I will get that update done!
Jamie
