Time is slowly ticking away for my 101 Things in 1001 Days, and I am slowly making a little bit of progress. It’s amazing how much things can change in 14 months – I’m a bit disenchanted with my list, because I feel like it’s not relevant to where I am in my life right now. I’m seriously wondering if I should give it up and start fresh. So many things have changed in my life since April 2011, having J being probably the biggest amongst them. And I feel like I didn’t think the list through properly the first time. Thoughts, blog world?
Completed and crossed off:
#37 – Host a dinner party. Though really it was a barbeque! But it was at my house, and there were about 60 people, so I’m counting it.
#56 – Have K baptized. Done! And will have another one coming up shortly!
In Progress:
#92 Participate in a craft show. Yep, maybe I’m crazy, but Sasha and I will be having a booth at the Canterbury Folk Festival this year. I’ve been working my butt off during nap time on everything for the show. There will definitely be a sneak peek to come on the blog!
Book Challenge:
Haven’t read much in the last few months, but this is what I’ve done since the last update.
The Sleeping Beauty by Mercedes Lackey – 2/5 I felt like the title steered me wrong – the book seemed to be more about Snow White than Sleeping Beauty. It was kinda cheesy, and a quick read.
It’s In His Kiss by Julia Quinn – 3/5 TBH, I read this quite a while ago and don’t remember much. Typical historical romance.
Cleopatra’s Daughter by Michelle Moran – 5/5 LOVED this book. It was a great story about the daughter of the last queen of Egypt, and wasn’t a slow, drawn out read like a lot of historical books are. Def. recommend it! (and will lend it out!)
