101 Things in 1001 Days – Deadline Day

101 Things in 1001 Days – Deadline Day

Well, this is it, I’m at the end. It’s been 1001 days since I began my challenge. It’s hard to believe I’ve been at this since June of 2012! I lot has changed since then. You might say I failed miserably, and really, I didn’t make it even 3/4 of the way through my list. I decided I wasn’t going to just give up when I realized I wasn’t going to accomplish everything though, and I’m glad I didn’t. There are plenty of things that I did accomplish, and a lot of them are things I either wouldn’t have done, or wouldn’t have stopped to appreciate if they hadn’t been on the list. And there is always that sense of satisfaction when I get to cross something off the list!

I managed to finish up a few more things before I hit my deadline:

21 Buy myself flowersJust for finishing 🙂 Let’s see how long I can keep them alive.

33 Learn to check my oil (and remember how this time) Dave gave me an extremely hard time when I asked him about this today. Something along the lines of “what do you mean you don’t remember, it’s the easiest thing! Do you even know how to open the hood of your car?” yeah, yeah, yeah… (and for the record, of course I know how to open the hood of my car!)

101 For every incomplete item, donate $1 to a charity Ok, so not quite complete yet, but to be done immediately after I finish off this post!

79 Finish reading my Book Challenge list of 101 books Not finished. But added 3 more book to the list (The Secret Garden, Lord of Temptation & The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe), to bring my end total of my book challenge to 57/101

So, my grand total? A whopping 61/101

You can see the complete list here.

And with that said, it’s time to retire this challenge list of 101 Things in 1001 Days, and it’s time to retire my book challenge list as well (though I do still have plans to read many of the books I haven’t gotten to yet!).

What’s next for me? I’ll keep plugging along with my sporadic posts, and a new 101 list is already in the works. I’m kind of excited to start fresh!

Have you tried the 101 Things in 1001 Days challenge? Leave me a link to your list if you have!
