10 Books I’ve Added to My TBR List Lately

This week at The Broke and the Bookish the Top 10 Tuesday is 10 Books I’ve Added to My TBR List Lately. I haven’t participated in a while – I always seem to miss Tuesdays. I need Top Ten Tuesdays to take place on, like, Thursdays so I’m not always so behind.

My TBR list is about a mile long these days. There is SO MANY books I want need to get to and there just isn’t enough time in my life.

Here are the 10 books at the top of my TBR list right now:

gilded-hourThe Gilded Hour by Sara Donati
Goodreads | Amazon

Sara Donati is a go-to author for me. I love her Into the Wilderness series, and I’m eager to pick this book up!

neverwhereNeverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Goodreads | Amazon

OK confession time – I bought this off of Amazon and was so exited for it to arrive and start reading – and it arrived in Spanish. Spanish! Don’t ask me how I managed that. So back to the TBR list it goes, until I get the return sorted out.

rookRook by Daniel O’Malley
Goodreads | Amazon

High-level secret operatives, supernatural threats, secret societies and conspiracies. Need anything else?

wenjackWenjack by Joseph Boyden
Goodreads | Amazon

Anything new by Joseph Boyden automatically gets added to my TBR list now. I haven’t been disappointed by anything of his that I’ve read.

thenestThe Nest by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney
Goodreads | Amazon

This looks so good and it’s already sitting on my bookshelf. I need to make some time for it!

royallymatchedRoyally Matched by Emma Chase
Goodreads | Amazon

OK, so I reluctantly picked up the first book in this series and then proceeded to get wrapped up in it and finish it in a few hours. The first book (Royally Screwed) will be my next book review. I hope the second one is just as good.

scottish-prisonerThe Scottish Prisoner by Diana Gabaldon
Goodreads | Amazon

Not exactly sure why I haven’t read this yet – there’s no doubt it will be fantastic.

moderngirlsModern Girls by Jennifer S. Brown
Goodreads | Amazon

I’d read this one just for the cover.

bygaslightBy Gaslight by Steven Price
Goodreads | Amazon

This is another one I already have on my bookshelf. Really want to start it, but probably waiting for Christmas holidays. It’s a long one – definitely a commitment!

lastdaysofnightThe Last Days of Night by Graham Moore
Goodreads | Amazon

I just read about this book today, and now I’m itching to get my hands on it. It looks amazing. Seriously, go read the blurb.

The historical fiction is really taking over this list. Have you read anything on my Top Ten Tuesday list of TBRs? Let me know if they are as good as they look!

  1. I blame my Goodreads Challenge – in trying to make it to 50 books a year, I think I subconsciously choose shorter books over the really long (but good!) ones, which is why I still haven’t read The Gilded Hour.

  2. The Last Days of Night was fabulous! Gaslight was a great read too but more of a time commitment due to the length.
