101 in 1001: The New List

101 in 1001: The New List

101-Adventures3

Here it is! As promised, my fourth 101 in 1001 list, with a start date of tomorrow, December 28, 2017. It will finish in September of 2020, giving me about 2.75 years to complete all the goals on this list.

This is my version of a New Year’s resolution. Instead of a vague goal for the year, I have a list of specific tasks that I want to accomplish in a certain amount of time. I love that I have specific goals on my list, but I love that I have the flexibility of almost three years to complete everything.

I also like that I’m starting just after Christmas this time. Christmas was fantastic this year, but as I’m sure most people find as the holidays begin to wind down – it’s a good time of year to start fresh and have some new beginnings.

I’m changing things up a bit this time around. I’ve decided to stay away from more mundane “things” or “tasks” on this list, and instead have replaced “things” with “adventures”.

And by adventures I don’t necessarily big, complicated travels that span the globe – I’ve tried to choose a mix of things, including a lot of “everyday adventures” that I can do with my family. I’ve really tried to focus on the experiences we will enjoy together and remember for a long time to come.

It’s so easy sometimes to get caught up in the chaos of life, all the commitments and craziness, and the things you feel like you have to get done, and you can forget about the simple things or put them on the back burner. My goal with this list is not to forget about those simple things and to really carve out the time to spend with my family doing and adventuring and enjoying life.

I’m excited to get started and excited to try a new direction with this! If anyone has a 101in1001 list of their own, I would love to see it, so please share below! I’d love the company!

So here it is: 101 Adventures in 1001 Days
