It’s been quiet around here on the blog front lately. We’ve cruised through most of the summer without a much of a peep from me, and my only excuse is that I’ve been too busy doing rather that writing about doing. Which in itself is not a bad thing, right? I’ll keep telling myself that.
That said, this summer has been filled with doing lots of things. We’ve fit in a lot of family adventures this year. My 1001 Adventures in 101 Days has not been neglected nearly as much as this blog. I can count about 16 things on the list that have either been completed or are underway since my last update – but that’s a post for another day!
The summer has been full of camping, waterfall exploring, swimming, biking, biking…and uh, more biking.
It’s crazy, but the more time I spend on my bike, the more time I wish I had to get out there and ride. Almost everything we’ve done as a family has been bike related this summer. The kids are old enough now that they can hold their own when they ride, and that includes longer distances and easier trails. And the more time the kids want to spend on their bikes, the more time Dave and I get to spend on ours, so everyone’s happy.
I’ll be posting a bit more in the next couple of weeks about some of the summer fun we’ve been having. And keep an eye on my Instagram this week, we’re heading off to a new adventure at a provincial park we’ve never been to before. Should be fun!
